Art Deco Chandelier with Glass Floral Details, Lisa Johansson-Pape, Orno, 1940s
Open here
Elegant Finnish Art Deco chandelier designed by Lisa Johansson-Pape and manufactured by Orno in the 1940s. This refined three-arm fixture combines patinated brass, cream-colored opaline glass shades, and decorative pressed glass floral elements arranged around the central stem. The gracefully curved arms and sculptural detailing showcase Johansson-Pape’s exceptional ability to blend decorative elegance with balanced proportions.
The chandelier emits a warm, diffused light through its ribbed opaline glass shades, creating an inviting atmosphere while accentuating the rich patina of the brass framework. The delicate glass floral motifs provide a distinctive decorative feature and lend the piece a light, sophisticated character.
A beautiful example of Finnish Art Deco lighting by one of Finland’s most celebrated lighting designers, equally suited to dining rooms, living spaces, and entry halls.
Stamped “Orno” on the fixture.
