A mid-century flush mount ceiling lamp with a wide, shallow dome form. The shade is constructed from pleated synthetic textile stretched over a segmented frame, creating a radiating, fan-like pattern across the surface. When lit, the material diffuses the light into a warm, even glow, highlighting the graphic rhythm of the pleats. A central brass cone and finial anchor the composition, adding contrast and a subtle reflective quality against the soft textile surface.

Produced by Valinte in Finland during the 1950s, this fixture reflects the Nordic modernist approach to lighting: functional construction combined with expressive yet controlled form. The use of synthetic textile was typical of the period, offering durability and an even light distribution.
