A large Finnish mid-century flush mount by Itsu, model ES 1902/60. The shallow bowl-shaped shade is formed from finely pleated cream textile, gathered towards a polished brass centre. Around the outer edge, a continuous band of looped brass wire creates a delicate graphic border. The shade has been professionally restored using quality fire-resistant textile, while retaining the original construction and brass details.

Itsu was one of Finland’s important lighting manufacturers during the post-war period, producing a broad range of domestic and technical lighting.

When illuminated, the pleated textile filters the light into a warm, soft glow and emphasizes the radial construction of the shade. Its generous 60 cm diameter gives the light presence, while the low-profile form makes it particularly practical in rooms where a hanging pendant would take up too much space. Six matching examples are available, making them suitable for larger interiors or projects requiring multiple identical fixtures.
