A Swedish brass table lamp, model B-024, designed by Alf Svensson and Yngvar Sandström for Bergboms in the 1960’s. The design features a tulip-shaped brass base with a slender stem, paired with a handmade slatted shade. The brass has developed a gentle patina that enhances its warm tone, while the shade introduces a natural, textural element that softens the light.
Alf Svensson and Yngvar Sandström were frequent collaborators with Bergboms, contributing to some of the company’s most recognisable designs. Their work combined functional clarity with a decorative sensitivity, often making use of clean metal forms paired with organic or handcrafted materials. Model B-024 exemplifies this balance — refined brasswork, simple geometric lines, and a shade that provides both tactility and atmosphere.
