A Finnish mid-century Model G-50 floor lamp manufactured by Lindström in the 1950s. The lamp combines a dark-stained birch base and turned wooden stem detail with a long, slender metal arm that curves gently forward. The contrast between the substantial wooden base and the light, sweeping metal structure gives the lamp a particularly elegant and graphic profile.

Lindström was a Finnish lighting manufacturer founded by Harald Lindström in Sipoo in 1945, initially operating under the Lindström name before becoming known as Lival. During the post-war decades, the company produced a broad range of domestic lighting using materials including wood, metal, glass and plastics. The G-50 reflects the functional approach of Finnish lighting from the period, combining natural wood with an adjustable metal structure.

The stem height can be adjusted, while the shade fitting both turns and tilts, allowing the direction and position of the light to be changed as needed. Its curved form makes it particularly suitable beside a lounge chair, sofa or reading area, where the light can extend over the seating without requiring a large footprint.

NOTE: The lamp is sold without a shade. A new top-quality, hand-made wooden slat shade like the one shown in the photographs can be custom ordered separately. Production time approximately 2–4 weeks.
