Double-Sided Teak Desk, Denmark, 1960s

A Danish mid-century teak desk with double-sided functionality, produced in the 1960s. The front features a total of seven drawers: three drawers on each side plus a central drawer, with the top drawers on each side fitted with locks. All drawers have sculpted recessed handles. The reverse side is designed with open shelving for books and display, making the desk suitable for use freestanding in the middle of a room. Raised on tapered legs with crossbars, the structure is both refined and stable.

Double-sided desks were a hallmark of Scandinavian office and home furniture in the 1960s, balancing practicality with aesthetics.
