A sculptural mid-century desk lamp in solid brass, defined by its flowing S-shaped stem and low, domed shade. The curved arm rises organically from the rounded base, creating a continuous, almost calligraphic line. The wide metal shade directs light downward, making it well suited for desk or task lighting. The brass surface has developed a natural patina over time, adding depth and character to the form.

Model ‘2433’ was produced by Valinte Oy in Finland during the 1950s. Valinte was an active Finnish lighting manufacturer in the mid-20th century, known for functional fixtures in brass and other metals. The lamp reflects the Nordic modernist approach to lighting: practical construction, clear form and material honesty.
