A Swedish mid-century coffee table with a leaf-shaped teak top, decorated with an intarsia inlay in the form of a branch and leaves. The organic kidney-shaped form reflects the playful experimentation of 1950’s design, where natural motifs were integrated into modern furniture. The table stands on three dark-stained, tapered wooden legs with brass-capped feet, contrasting with the lighter teak top.

Tables of this kind embody the spirit of Scandinavian mid-century design, balancing modernism with references to nature. Intarsia inlay, where contrasting woods are set into the surface to create decorative patterns, was a popular technique in Swedish furniture of the period. Combined with the asymmetrical organic form, this table represents the optimism and creativity of postwar domestic design.

Compact in size, it functions well as a coffee table, side table, or occasional table. Its graphic top and sculptural form add visual interest, while the warm teak surface introduces natural texture to a room.
