Model 982 Pendant by Lisa Johansson-Pape for Orno, Finland, 1940s
Open here
A beautifully detailed mid-century pendant designed by Lisa Johansson-Pape and produced by Orno in Finland during the 1940s. The lamp features a sculptural layered shade composed of finely pleated wooden slats, creating a warm and atmospheric light diffusion.
At its center sits an opaline glass diffuser that softly disperses the light, while the outer wooden structure adds depth and a rich, textured glow. The combination of natural material and refined form is characteristic of Johansson-Pape’s work, blending functionality with elegant Nordic design.
The pendant provides a pleasant, evenly distributed light both downward and through the layered shade, making it ideal for dining areas or ambient lighting.
Dimensions:
Shade diameter: 35 cm (13.8 in)
Height (shade): 20 cm (7.9 in)
Drop length: 90 cm (35.4 in), adjustable
