This rare sculptural candlestick holder combines solid oak columns with folded brass elements, creating a rhythmic, architectural form typical of Swedish mid-century modernism. The contrast between the warm wood and the softly patinated brass gives the piece a balanced, graphic expression. Designed to hold four candles, the zigzagging brass base connects the individual holders into a single, cohesive object.

The candlestick was designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson and produced in Sweden during the 1950s, a period when Jakobsson explored the interplay between natural materials and refined metalwork. While he is best known for his lighting designs, his smaller decorative objects share the same focus on proportion, material quality, and restrained modernist form.

Equally suited as a centerpiece for a dining table or as an atmospheric accent on a sideboard, this candlestick adds warmth and character to a space. Its low, elongated form works well in both modernist interiors and more eclectic settings, offering a calm yet expressive presence when lit.
