Pair of Bergboms Model B-10 Carrara Marble Table Lamps, Sweden, 1960s

A rare pair of Swedish Model B-10 table lamps by Bergboms, 1960s, crafted from solid white Carrara marble. The tall cylindrical forms, finished with three subtle base bands, create a composition that is architectural, precise, and materially rich. Their slender proportions give the pair a calm vertical presence and the refined clarity associated with Bergboms’ finest mid-century lighting.

The marble displays natural grey veining typical of Carrara stone, making each lamp unique while remaining visually balanced as a set. The softly honed surface highlights the depth and mineral character of the stone. The bases are stamped “Made in Italy,” reflecting the Italian craftsmanship behind the marble elements. Bergboms, one of Sweden’s leading lighting manufacturers of the mid-20th century, was known for disciplined forms and high-quality materials – qualities clearly expressed in this model.

As a pair, they bring quiet confidence and symmetry to a space. The vertical form adds rhythm on a bedside, console, or mantel. They work equally well in restrained modern interiors and more layered settings, where the cool mineral surface contrasts beautifully with wood, textiles, and warm metals. An increasingly sought-after Bergboms model, valued for its material integrity and timeless Nordic elegance.
