A rare pair of Finnish Art Deco lounge chairs from the sought-after Continent series by Asko, produced in Finland during the 1930s. These elegant armchairs showcase the streamlined forms and restrained sophistication characteristic of Nordic Art Deco design, featuring gently curved backs, generous proportions, and distinctive solid birch armrests.

The chairs retain their beautiful vintage upholstery in a soft nude-pink tone, which complements the warm honey-colored birch details. The upholstery is not recent but remains in remarkably well-preserved condition, showing no visible stains, tears, or significant wear. Their compact yet comfortable form makes them ideal as lounge chairs, reading chairs, or accent seating in both period and contemporary interiors.

Both chairs feature spring cushion seats, offering a comfortable and supportive sit. The construction is very sturdy and notably heavy, reflecting the high-quality craftsmanship typical of the period.
