Pair of Leatherette & Brass Table Lamps by Lisa Johansson-Pape for Orno, 1960s

A sculptural pair of Finnish mid-century table lamps designed by Lisa Johansson-Pape for Orno. The conical bases are covered in warm-toned brown leatherette with visible texture and patina, topped with brass neck fittings and pleated white fabric shades. Their geometric form feels balanced and grounded — simple yet sophisticated.

Produced in the 1960s, these lamps reflect Johansson-Pape’s functionalist approach to lighting: practical illumination combined with refined form. Orno, one of Finland’s leading lighting manufacturers of the period, collaborated closely with the country’s top designers to develop modern lighting for both domestic and public spaces.

With their graphic silhouette and gentle, diffused light, these lamps bring a calm mid-century mood to any interior. Perfect as bedside or side table lighting, they blend easily into both modern and traditional settings.
