A pair of 1970s safari chairs constructed from stained pine with natural linen slings and loose back cushions. The design uses thick, rounded pine posts joined by horizontal stretchers, creating a sturdy but relaxed frame. The seat and back are made from heavy linen canvas, suspended between the structure and wrapped securely around the frame. Dark brown leather straps form flexible armrests, introducing both comfort and a subtle contrast in material.

In keeping with traditional safari-chair construction, the frames are assembled without glue. The structure relies on tension from the seat, back and leather straps, along with precise joinery that stabilizes and tightens under use. This principle — simple components working together through tension — is part of what gives safari chairs their functional charm and long-lasting durability.
