Swedish Modern Floor Lamp in Carved Solid Pine Wood, 1970s
This striking tall floor lamp was produced in Sweden in the 1970s.
The Swedish Modern design is characterized by a central stem crafted from solid pine wood, featuring disc-shaped carved elements. The circular base is also crafted from solid pine wood. The light switch is positioned on the bulb fitting.
The lamp is in overall good condition, showcasing the pine wood's natural patina with minor signs of wear, including a few scratches. The wiring is fully functioning, currently with a 220V European plug.
Other designers working in the Swedish Modern style include Hans Bergström, Axel Einar Hjorth, Hans-Agne Jakobsson, Carl Malmsten and Göran Malmvall.
