A rare ‘Lamingo’ Model B-186 table lamp by Hans-Agne Jakobsson, produced by his company in Markaryd, Sweden, during the 1960s. The lamp features Jakobsson’s distinctive layered aluminium shade, finished with brass-coloured lacquer, creating a soft, warm light effect without the weight of solid brass. The white lacquered steel base provides clean contrast and balance to the sculptural form.

This version is equipped with three bulb holders operated by two separate switches — the first controls a single bulb, while the second activates the remaining two — allowing for adjustable lighting levels. The thoughtful engineering and elegant proportions make this a standout example of Swedish mid-century lighting design.

The Lamingo model is one of Jakobsson’s rarer table lamps, combining functional innovation with his signature mastery of diffused light. Its architectural silhouette and gentle illumination make it equally suited for desks, sideboards, or reading corners.
