Designed by Olof Ottelin for Stockmann’s furniture department and produced by Keravan Puusepäntehdas, the ‘Triplex’ nesting tables are a classic of Finnish mid-century design. The set consists of three tables with teak veneer tops and mahogany frames, each proportioned to fit seamlessly under the next. Their clean, rectilinear form reflects the Nordic modernist preference for clarity, practicality, and natural materials.
Olof Ottelin was one of Finland’s most significant mid-century designers, known for his refined approach to proportion and his commitment to functional furniture suited to modern homes. With ‘Triplex,’ he created a compact yet versatile design, reflecting the post-war emphasis on multi-functional solutions for smaller living spaces.
